Ladder Rules

Note: Full updated rules and anything new related to the ladder can be found here (News).

A watcher/server is required for any game. If watcher can not serve, agree on something else or wait for a better watcher, but no complaints later. BOTH PLAYERS HAVE TO ACCEPT IF THEY WANT TO PLAY A LADDER GAME WITHOUT SERVING WATCHER. Anyone who is serving/watching the game has to be in ladder too so players can select him as watcher. If he/she is not in ladder, select your opponent as watcher, but the ladder game has to be reported no matter what. Note that YOU DON'T NEED to play in ladder once you've joined it. Players without a single game played in ladder are considered as watchers ONLY.

Start with a pre-built altar or edited island is not allowed in the ladder and it will result in a penalty of -200 points. This also goes for edited islands, such as placed geysers or units on home island. In order to confirm this abuse we need at least a screenshot. Use tourney forts only (lvl 43). Severe cheating in official Ladder Games will not be tolerated and could result in a long term game server ban.

Disconect in any way (lagging also) results in a sudden lost. For more detailed information about game disconnections, search for section 4.5 (Match interruptions) in official NetStorm tournament rules. ALWAYS WAIT FOR THE DISCONNECTED PLAYER TO COME BACK BEFORE YOU DRAW THE GAME.

Abusing players, bad behaviour or personal attacks will not be tolerated. Any useless complaints will be ignored and will give you a bad name to us and we won't listen to you anymore.

Every game played should be reported. You can deal a best of three match as one game, but you have to deal it before playing the ladder. Otherwise, EACH SINGLE GAME COUNTS as one ladder game and should be reported. If you loose a ladder game, use the report a game link above. If you fail to report on time, that means RIGHT AFTER the game, you risk that you will get penalized.

If you do not report a lost battle you will get -200 points, if you report late you will loose 10 points. If you report a fake game or try to report too many games, you will get penalized. Check other Ladder penalties for more information.

The ladder will be reset every 3rd month or on a specific date time if set. Top 20 ranks from each ladder season will be put in archives. Every participant in ladder might have the chance to join the next Ladder Top 20 Tournament.

The game rules for the tourney apply also for the Ladder. Check the NetStorm tournament rules for any changes.

Higher ranked player cannot refuse chalenges of lower ranked players and all Top 10 Ladder Players can't refuse each other either. That means if a higher ranked player refuses a game from lower ranked player, or if one of the Top 10 refuses, he might get penalized for doing so if he is reported three times in one ladder season. Use penalty abuse thread in ladder forum to report. Report each refuse, post time and date too.

A player is restricted to play 3 battles with the same player per one ladder season. That means you can play only 3 ladder games with same player until the ladder resets.
